Trust seal

GSG Vault

When a listing carries the GSG Vault seal, the coin is not at the seller's home. It is at our premises, verified, insured and ready to ship.

The GSG Vault seal belongs to the piece, not to the seller. It says that this particular piece passed through GSG's hands and what was checked on it.

GSG Verified

For the buyer who wants the piece checked before it heads to their door. The buyer asks for it from the listing and the seller chooses nothing.

  1. Step 1

    The buyer asks for it

    From the listing, before paying.

  2. Step 2

    The piece reaches us

The seller sends it to GSG instead of sending it straight on.

  3. Step 3

    Checked and sealed

Matched against the catalogue, photographed and sealed.

  4. Step 4

    Off to the buyer

With its report and its tracking.

How it works

1 · The seller ships the piece

To our premises, inbound postage at their cost. Several pieces can travel together.

2 · We verify it

Our team checks authenticity, condition and match with the entry. If it fails, we tell the seller and the piece goes back.

3 · We store it

Insured vault. First 30 days free. From day 31, 1% every 180 days on the insured value, minimum €5 and maximum €120 per piece and period.

4 · It ships insured from here

When sold, the shipment to the buyer leaves our premises, insured, with postage paid by the buyer.

What is covered and who pays

Threshold

The buyer can request GSG Vault on pieces from €60. The seller decides, and if they accept the purchase is confirmed.

Who pays

The seller. It is a service that makes them sell more and involves real work, reception, verification, storage, insurance, packing and dispatch.

If it fails verification

The piece goes back to the seller and the deal is cancelled at no cost to the buyer.

Who verifies

Our team on site, checking NGC and PCGS certificates when the piece has them.
