Investment silver coins

Investment Silver Coins

Silver coins from the major bullion series, such as the American Eagle, the Maple Leaf, the Philharmonic, the Britannia, the Kookaburra or the Panda. Each listing states mint, year, weight and purity, and links to its Encyclopedia page.

What to look at in a silver coin

Mint, year, weight, purity and face value. The face value is a legal figure and has no relation to what the coin is worth. Its price starts from the fine silver it contains, plus the premium.

Year and design

In many series the design changes every year or every few years. If you collect, the year matters. If you only want metal, it may not. The listing says so.

Quality of condition

A bullion coin that is uncirculated and free of spots sells better. To learn how conditions are described, see the Grading and Preservation Guide in the Encyclopedia.

How to buy

Protected payment, three prices depending on the payment method and shipping insurance until delivery. Taxes are calculated at the end, in the cart.

Tubes and boxes

If you want to buy several identical units, also look at Boxes, Monster Boxes and Tubes. And if you prefer pieces that are already used, often at a tighter price, look at Pre-owned Silver.
