A theme as a collecting thread
Choosing a theme is the simplest way to start collecting. With a clear thread, every purchase adds to a set. In the How to Start Collecting guide you will find more ideas.
Common themes
Animals and nature, space, mythology, history and anniversaries, music and popular culture. Film and comic licenses have their own entry inside Fandom, with the official logos of each universe.
One piece, several themes
The same coin can appear under more than one theme. A Star Wars piece struck in silver appears under its theme and also under its metal.
From theme to purchase
Each entry links to the pieces for sale. If a piece interests you but is not available, add it to your wish list and we will notify you when it appears.
How themes are assigned
The GSG team assigns themes when reviewing each entry. If you think a piece should be under another theme, use the Correct or complete this entry button, available to registered users.
