What a series is
A series is a set of issues that share a design, theme or program, such as a bullion coin struck every year with the same motif. The sample entry in the encyclopedia is the American Silver Eagle.
What you find on a series page
The history in two lengths, the issuing country, the mint, the years, the mintage, the obverse and reverse photos, the series video and the pieces for sale right now.
Variants within the series
Each variant, for example the Proof edition of a coin that also exists in BU, has its own page with a full technical table and catalog numbers.
Your progress
If you collect a series, mark the pieces you own and you will see how many you still need to complete it, in My Series Progress.
Series with upcoming pieces
A series can include pieces that the mints have already announced but that have not come out yet. They are shown as upcoming, with their date when it is known, and you can ask us to notify you.
